Identification of small non-coding RNAs (sRNAs) from mango (Mangifera indica L.)

To our knowledge, this is the first small RNA sequencing study conducted on mango mesocarp. The primary objective is to identify both known and novel miRNAs/siRNAs and to determine which ones regulate heat stress and postharvest fruit ripening. Additionally, the study aims to identify sRNAs associated with epigenetics in this tropical fruit. This project provides a foundational resource for future functional research and contributes to the development of tools for potential use in agriculture as an alternative technology to minimize environmental impact.
