Farmers report their crops annually via the internet platform Gelan. This information is used, inter alia, to calculate direct payments. Permanent crops are represented spatially, while the arable crops, i.e. crops that can change annually, are recorded numerically on the corresponding management unit. Permanent crops are perennial and remain on the same area for a longer period of time.
