Guaranteed minimum pension

Information on the profile of pensioners with a minimum pension being paid in the Employees and/or Self-Employed Scheme can be found in the dashboard below. The figures refer to pensioners who received a statutory pension from the SFP in January 2023. The dashboard below shows the average amount that a pensioner with a minimum pension receives. These are the figures for January 2023. Minimum pension expenses depend on the amount of the minimum pension and the number of pensioners eligible to receive a minimum pension. The average pension income of beneficiaries of minimum pensions in the process of payment increased by 32 % between January 2019 and January 2023 (see graph above), and the number of people receiving minimum pensions increased by 38.5 % over the same period.
