This deposit contains the replication dataset and R code for the paper “Bridging or Blocking? Do Plug-in Hybrids Facilitate the Transition to Battery Electric Vehicles in Italy”.Files included: Dataset.xlsx (processed monthly series) and code.txt (single R script running all steps).Coverage: Italy, monthly observations from 2018m1 to 2025m11 (registrations and controls).The script reproduces descriptive figures, stationarity tests, dynamic regressions (HAC), ARDL/ECM and VAR checks,plus robustness/falsification exercises, local-projection IRFs (levels and shares), and bootstrap uncertainty.To replicate: open code.txt in R and run it; when prompted, select Dataset.xlsx (or set file_path to it).Outputs are written to the outputs_all/ folder (tables, figures, logs) and to outputs_all/paper_pack/ with indices.Underlying raw inputs from public sources and any third-party material (e.g., model lists) are not redistributed; only the processed dataset used for estimation is provided.
