Transcriptomic response to heat stress in tropical abalone (Haliotis asinina)

RNA-seq was performed on hemolymph and tentacle RNA samples from H. asinina individuals across four treatment groups: (1) heat-stressed, (2) non-heat-stressed, (3) heat-stressed with Poly I:C treatment, and (4) non-heat-stressed with Poly I:C treatment. The experiment was designed to test whether prior injection of the immunostimulant polyinosinic:polycytidylic acid (Poly I:C) could enhance thermal resilience through gene expression changes.
