The Bedford Basin Monitoring Program is a long-term oceanographic monitoring site in the inner portion of the Halifax Harbour which has been sampled weekly since 1992 by Fisheries & Oceans Canada. Genetic samples for analysis of the microbial community have been collected by the LaRoche lab since 2014. This project sequences the V4V5 region of 16S rRNA.
