Novel mutations responsible for PZA resistance in Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates and a correlation between phenotypic and genotypic method

The study provides insights into the mechanisms of Pyrazinamide resistance which is crucial for drug-resistant tuberculosis surveillance and treatment in India. We focused on overcoming challenges in assessing PZA resistance in Mycobacterium tuberculosis and identifying various mutations responsible for PZA resistance to develop more targeted and effective diagnosis, improving patient outcomes and reducing the spread of drug-resistant tuberculosis in the region.
