The Memoranda of Cases Committed for Trial record the date of the committal, the name of the prisoners, the nature of the offences, to what Court they are committed, whether they were admitted to Bail or not and if so then what amount and the names of sureties, the name, occupation and residence of the witnesses, and the names of Committing Magistrates and the date when the papers were sent to the Attorney General.There are also a small number of typed forms glued into the volume that give information relating to cases committed to trial. These forms provide the same details as above.This volume also contains a register of applications for auctioneers’, hawkers’ and other licenses, a record of cases dealt with under the “First Offenders” provisions of the Crimes Act, a list of furniture in the court house, and a list of the law books at the court house.
