The mycobacterium strains were isolated from sputum samples from Beijing Chest Hospital, in China, between December 2022 and May 2024. Mycobacterium abscessus complex strains were identified using MeltPro Myco Mycobacterium Identification Reagent Kit, which is commonly used to identify 19 clinically isolated species of nontuberculous mycobacteria, and stored at -80 C biobank in National Tuberculosis Clinical Laboratory of the hospital. Beijing Chest Hospital is an authority institute to treat TB and NTM in China.
