Although the biological events that modulate tendon embryonic development are widely studied, how they orchestrate postnatal tendon maturation that is similar to tendon regeneration is still largely unknown For molecular profiling of tendon maturation, we performed mRNA microarray analyses of total rat tendon tissue harvested from normal neonatal and 6-8w Achilles’ tendons and identified meaningful genes in down-regulated group Tendon tissues from the neonatal (1day) and 6-8 week rats were harvested.Then total RNA was extracted using Trizol reagen, and following labeling, fragmented cDNA was hybridized for 16 h at 45 oC on GeneChip Affymetrix Rat Transcriptome Array 1.0 (Affymetrix))
