The data presented here was collected between summer 2010 and summer 2012 as
part of a study concerning how and why dissolved organic matter varies. Water
samples were collected at several locations in La Jara Creek, Jaramillo Creek and
the East Fork of the Jemez River; all are perennial streams in Valles Caldera
National Preserve (Jemez Springs, New Mexico). Samples were collected during 16
sampling campaigns. These were analyzed for dissolved organic carbon, dissolved
inorganic carbon, total dissolved nitrogen and carbohydrates. The concentrations of
several cations were also measured.
