Data from: Indirect effects of habitat amount mediated by habitat configuration determine bat diversity at the landscape-scale in Peninsular Malaysia

"Bat response" depicts the different measures of bat diversity recorded at the different study sites.
SITE: location where the acoustic recorder was set. Sites starting with CF were located on the mainland, and sites starting with Is were islands.
RICHNESS: sonotype richness recorded at each site
ACTIVITY: acoustic activity recorded at each site
FOREST: acoustic activity of forest foragers recorded at each site
EDGE: acoustic activity of edge foragers recorded at each site
OPEN SPACE : acoustic activity of open-space foragers recorded at each site

"Landscape metrics" depicts the chracteristics of the circular lansdcapes surounding each acoustic recorder. Each page of the the file corresponds to the radii of the buffer used, ranging between 250m and 1000m.

NUMBER_OF_PATCHES: number of forest patches in the landscape
