Chronic pain can be a clinically challenging result of spinal cord injury, but the mechanisms of it are not yet fully known. This project explores whether potential changes in BDNF-TrkB signaling after spinal cord injury could contribute to this neuropathic pain via altered Aδ-LTMR plasticity, with a focus on changes in the periphery. This research conforms to university and national guidelines regarding care and use of experimental animals.
