The continuation of experiment 4 ( Seismic Fragility of Fire Suppression Sprinkler Piping Joints). In this experiment, three branch line materials (Schedule 40 Black Iron Threaded, CPVC, Schedule 10 Dynaflo), along with a Schedule 10 Steel Groove Fit Connection main line and riser, are subject to various bracing requirements (fully braced, remove lateral bracing from crossmain on second level, remove lateral and longitudinal braces, remove wire restraints, remove vertical riser to isolate the main line and then re-install the bracing systems on first level, fully unbraced). Each one of these bracing requirements were then subject to various percentages of the testing protocol. Each brace was subject to 25%, 50%, 67%, and 100% of the testing protocol.
