Rice Flowering and Breeding variety with Various Growth Periods

Rice (Oryza sativa L) is a short-day plant and flowering (or heading) usually when day is becoming shorter in the summer. The flowering time is a major determining factor for its adaptation to particular ecological areas and growing seasons and also subsequently the grain yields and even the grain qualities. The project is aimed to develop technology to create variety with various growth periods to be used in the fields.
