This 16S data is part of an effort to concurrently sample microbiological, biogeochemical, and physical water column characteristics along transects of the Oregon Coastal Current during two winter season cruises. We measured microbial community composition (16S rRNA amplicons), organic carbon and nitrogen and inorganic nutrient concentrations, physical water-column properties including salinity, temperature, beam attenuation, and density, chlorophyll and oxygen concentrations, and, at select stations, whole-community dark respiration and primary production rates.
