Isatis tinctoria Genome sequencing and assembly

This project provides a chromosome-scale genome assembly of Isatis tinctoria, a diploid species in the Brassicaceae family. High-quality genomic DNA from a plant collected in a serpentine habitat in Serbia was sequenced using PacBio HiFi long-read technology and assembled using hifiasm in Hi-C integrated mode. Hi-C data were used to scaffold contigs into chromosome-scale pseudomolecules. The resulting primary assembly represents a high-quality genomic resource for studies of genome structure, comparative genomics, and adaptation in Brassicaceae species. Both masked and unmasked versions of the assembly are provided.
