PREFIRE twice monthly ANC-SAT data files from Aug 2024 through July 2025

The PREFIRE Science Team maintains an archive of collocated (spatial and temporal) data products from several operational satellite platforms (e.g., AIRS on Aqua, and CrIMSS and VIIRS on NOAA-20) that are matched to every PREFIRE-TIRS1 and PREFIRE-TIRS2 scene. AIRS and CrIMSS are nearest neighbor matches between ground footprint centers, while VIIRS pixels are collocated and averaged within the TIRS ground footprint polygon. The overall strategy is to find the nearest-in-space match from the nearest-in-time PREFIRE intersection (±60 min) within the swath of the non-PREFIRE low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite. The files have identical along- and cross-track dimensions as the publicly available PREFIRE data products. Twice-monthly data files (one day about every other week) are made for PREFIRE Science Team usage; a total of 24 days from August 2024 through July 2025 are used in our investigation. The collocated data include Level 2 clouds from AIRS V6, V7, and CLIMCAPS, CrIMSS CLIMCAPS, and VIIRS.
