Proteome database of Proteus penneri ATCC 35198

Proteus penneri is a facultative anaerobic, Gram-negative bacterium that is the cause of urinary tract infections. Highly invasive, the bacterium is also resistant to many antibiotics, with some isolates possessing β-lactamase. This work provides the proteome database of P. penneri ATCC 35198 by parsing its annotated proteome downloaded from UniProt. Comprising protein name, amino acid sequence, number of residues, molecular weight, and nucleotide sequence of each protein in the proteome, the resource should be useful for gaining a deeper appreciation of the pathogenic mechanisms of the bacterium from the functional genomics perspective.
