Caesarean sections conducted in Latvia 2010-2020

The number of caesarean sections conducted in Latvia decreased by 216 surgeries (-5.32 percent) in 2020 in comparison to the previous year. Therefore, the number of caesarean sections in Latvia saw its lowest number in that year with 3,845 surgeries.According to Eurostat, this includes the number of deliveries by caesarean section in general hospitals. Data on caesarean section include only inpatient cases, day cases are excluded.
