To characterize the transcriptome differences between different adipose depots, a total of 36 adipose samples were used for high-throughput sequencing. At last, about 23,000 transcripts were identified. Overall design: A total of 36 adipose samples were used for RNA sequencing, including 3 subcutaneous adipose tissue (SAT) depots (back subcutaneous adipose tissue, BSAT; sternum subcutaneous adipose tissue, SSAT; inguinal adipose tissue, IAT) and 3 visceral adipose tissue (VAT) depots (omental adipose tissue, OAT; pericardial adipose tissue, PCAT; perirenal adipose tissue, PRAT) in 6 buffaloes.
