The polymerization kinetics were determined at 60°C by following the changes in bis-ANS fluorescence at a protein concentration of 1 µM. kcc is the rate of conformational change and kagg the rate of aggregation. The rate of polymerization at 60°C was additionally determined at a protein concentration of 10 µM as a function of monomer loss (k-mon) on native gels. Each experiment was performed three times. Errors included represent the standard deviation of each dataset.
