资源简介:
This independent study focuses on the accounting practices of Four Corners Aviation, a Netherlands-based global asset management company specializing in aircraft consignment. The goal is to optimize accounting treatments related to revenue recognition, inventory recognition, and cost allocation under Dutch GAAP. Through qualitative research including in-depth interviews with company executives and a comparative analysis with industry peers, this study identifies key challenges in the company’s current practices, such as reliance on fixed-margin cost estimates and inconsistent inventory tracking. It further evaluates the impact of the lot-based accounting and the lack of integrated financial systems. The findings highlight the need for a structured accounting framework, standardized policies, and improved internal controls to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Recommendations include adopting dedicated inventory systems, refining revenue and cost recognition methods. The study contributes practical solutions to improve financial reporting and offers broader implications for accounting practices in aviation asset management.
