Flood Concern and Potential for Natural and Nature Based Features in the Texas Coastal Bend

This dataset contains point data representing areas of current and future flood concerns, as well as potential locations for natural and nature-based features (NNBFs). These data were collected through knowledge exchange sessions with the project's Management Transition Advisory Group (MTAG) during two meetings in the Spring of 2023. The dataset was used to inform the Coastal Resilience: Living with Sea Level Rise in the Texas Coastal Bend project, a NOAA-funded initiative aimed at modeling coastal changes under different sea level rise (SLR) scenarios. A key goal of the project is to expand the application of Hydro-MEM science to improve wetland modeling in Texas. Additionally, the project seeks to assess vulnerability to SLR and evaluate the efficacy of NNBFs in mitigating coastal hazards.
