Results and Descriptive Study Characteristics: Cognitive Biases in Contemporary Dietary Behaviour and Nutritional Guidance: A Focused Narrative Overview

This dataset contains the descriptive study characteristics, data analyses, and results underlying a focused narrative overview of cognitive biases in dietary behaviour and nutritional guidance. The results are based on the final corpus of 14 primary studies examining health halo, illusory truth and social proof and include descriptive characteristics of the reviewed studies and the data underlying the narrative synthesis. The review examines consumer and professional/system-level evidence, including evidence concerning meat and other animal-source foods. The dataset accompanies the prospectively deposited study protocol (Protogerou & Leroy, 2026; DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.22283422) and the separately deposited study-screening and data-extraction materials (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.23016642).
