Relationship between gut microbiome and inflammatory interleukins in psoriasis patients compared to healthy controls: an observational study

The aim of this study is to characterize the differences in microbiota between psoriasis patients and healthy controls, and to assess the relationship between inflammatory cytokines and the microbiome. We carried out cross-sectional study with 36 psoriasis patients and 23 healthy controls. DNA was extracted from stool samples and 16S amplicon sequencing was performed. Cytokines were analyzed using ELISA.
