Transcriptome Profiling of Rectal and Ileal Tissues in Inflammatory Bowel Disease

We report whole mRNA gene expression and Percent Spliced In (PSI) estimates for rectal (n=59) and ileal (n=60) tissue samples of 33 patients with either Crohn's disease (n=19) or ulcerative colitis (n=14) Overall design: Tissue biopsies were obtained from the rectum and ileum of IBD patients age 8-20 years. Most (n=23) patients donated duplicate biopsies for a total of 4 samples per individual, and at least one sample per location was obtained for all donors. Transcriptome profiling was performed with RNAseq. 119 samples in total were analyzed after QC.
