Data and Code for Experimental Assessment and Multi-Regional Climatological Screening of Earth-to-Air Heat Exchanger Thermal Potential
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains the experimental data, processed climatological inputs, Python analysis scripts, and supporting documentation for the study “Experimental Assessment and Multi-Regional Climatological Screening of Earth-to-Air Heat Exchanger (EAHE) Thermal Potential”. The experimental component concerns a compact square-helical EAHE installed at the University of Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal. Summer monitoring campaigns conducted in 2025 and 2026 cover nominal airflow rates of 30 and 50 m³/h. The package documents data preprocessing, timestamp corrections, channel identification, and the limitations affecting the 2026 measurements. The analysis code implements the Kusuda–Achenbach ground-temperature model, segmented NTU modelling, calibration, chronological hold-out assessment, parameter transfer, model-complexity comparisons, sensitivity analyses, and estimates of sensible thermal exchange and fan energy performance. The climatological component comprises processed inputs for Portugal and a multi-regional archive, with 9,094 station locations used for cooling and heating indicators and 9,503 stations and grid points used for ground-temperature mapping. The README provides the folder structure and execution instructions. Results from retained 2026 channels are exploratory. Climatological indicators represent scenario-based pre-feasibility screening and do not directly predict site-specific EAHE capacity, energy savings, or economic feasibility. Third-party climatological inputs remain subject to their original providers’ terms and attribution requirements.
