Negative Self-schema Dataset

Depression-prone individuals acquire a negative self-schema, according to Beck's cognitive theory. Beck claimed that negative schemas might be developed in childhood due to a traumatic event (Example: The death of a parent, guardian or sibling; Bullying at school or exclusion from peer groups; Parental rejection, overprotection, criticism, abuse or neglect). The Negative Self-schema Dataset (NSD) is used to recognize negative self-schema mechanism in an individual, which is crucial for early diagnosis and prognosis of depression. The NSD contains 3101 textual messages, including 2851 from Twitter and 250 from mental health blogs. This dataset includes two classes: negative self-schema and non-negative self-schema. The NSD will aid in the comprehension of negative self-schema in clinical chatbot-generated data.
