Polyphasic taxonomy lead to new members of the family Cytophagaceae. Pseudowusel Project

Four strains were isolated from different locations. The aim of the present study was to explore the taxonomic status of the four bacteria as novel species by using the polyphasic approach. Base on 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis revealed that the closest relatives of strains are less than 93.80% compare to Ohtaekwangia koreensis 3B-2T and Ohtaekwangia kribbensis 10AOT. Morphological, biochemical, physiological and genetic data are more important that characteristic of strains Therefore, we proposed that the four strains represent four novel species of two new genera in the family Cytophagaceae.
