PbAP2-FG2 and AP2R-2 function together as a transcriptional repressor complex essential for Plasmodium female development [RNA-seq]

Plasmodium berghei transcriptomes of pbap2-fg2 and ap2r-2 knockout parasites [pbap2-fg2(-) and ap2r-2(-), respectively] were analyzed at the gametocyte stage. pbap2-fg2(-) and ap2r-2(-) were harvested after sulfadiazine treatment, and total RNA was extracted from the parasites. Libraries were constructed from the total RNA and then sequenced by the Next Generation Sequencing.
