Variables are described below:sample - matches the sample code found in the filenames for amplicon sequence data files.geol - The underlying geology of each river site. One of either chalk, greensand, or clay.site - The site code of each river.replicate - The replicate code for each samplebfi - The base flow index of each river sampled.month - The sampling month within the year 2013.(gen16S, aoa, aob, nirs, nirk, mcra, hzo) - qPCR quantified abundances of the following microbial functional genes, respectively, bacterial 16S rRNA, archaeal amoA, bacterial amoA, nirS, nirK, mcrA, and hzo.
