Focusing on the intelligent design concept of drilling fluid systems, this dataset integrates three major modules: structural characterization data of drilling fluid additives, technical performance test data, and drilling fluid formula and application data, covering multi-level information ranging from molecular structures to system applications. The data is mainly collected independently in the laboratory, and partially combined with pilot test or field verification results, with high representativeness and integrity. In terms of structural characterization, the data includes infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) image information, which can be used to reveal the chemical functional groups and microscopic morphology characteristics of drilling fluid additives. For performance testing, the response temperature, response time and swelling rate curves of the materials are recorded, reflecting their sensitivity and stability under different environmental conditions. At the application level, typical drilling fluid formulas, system performance parameters and application data are included to verify the regulatory effect of additives in the system. In addition, focusing on the intelligent design, evaluation and regulation of drilling fluid performance, a drilling fluid dataset for complex geological conditions has been constructed. The core of the dataset comes from the literature published in the past 20 years on CNKI. Relevant articles about drilling fluid systems and their performance are systematically collected through web crawler technology, and structured content extraction is carried out with the help of Large Language Models (LLMs), supplemented by manual proofreading to ensure data quality. The dataset contains a total of 1657 entries of drilling fluid material and system application data, 346 entries of system performance data, and 2079 entries of formula and field application data. This dataset not only helps to deeply reveal the mechanism of core functions of drilling fluids such as wellbore stabilization, cuttings carrying, and lubrication in complex formations, optimize the intelligent design of formulas, but also has important theoretical value for promoting the transformation of industry experience from "tacit" to "explicit". It can provide a reliable data foundation for drilling fluid performance optimization, intelligent formula design and data-driven regulatory model construction, and has important reference value for promoting intelligent R&D and engineering applications of drilling fluids.
