This study investigates the regulatory role of HVO_1357 (QtrA) in the DFS-mediated quorum sensing (QS) system of the archaeon Haloferax volcanii. RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) was performed on wild-type and HVO_1357 deletion strains collected during early and late logarithmic growth (EL and LL) to identify genes and pathways under HVO_1357 (QtrA) control. By comparing transcriptomic profiles across these growth phases, this project aims to elucidate how HVO_1357 (QtrA) contributes to the transcriptional response to DFS signaling and to define its function as a potential effector in archaeal quorum sensing and motility regulation.
