Canine Transmissible Venereal Tumour is one of the only two known naturally transmissible cancers. Sequencing of the CTVT exomes will enable us to construct an evolutionary tree from the samples and analyse the genetic diversity of CTVT tumours around world. We may also be able estimate the mutation rate to reveal the population history and dynamics of CTVT spread.
