Stand and canopy structural data in temperate broadleaved forests in Foreste Casentinesi National Park (Northern Apennines, Italy)

Forest structural and canopy attributes are essential indicators for understanding ecological processes, biodiversity patterns, and the adaptive capacity of ecosystems to environmental changes. This dataset reports data collected in Foreste Casentinesi National Park, in forest stands representative of the most widespread broadleaved forest types in Apennines. Dataset includes forest inventory variables, optical canopy measurements (LAI), and annual litterfall data of 10 plots. These data support ecological modeling, productivity assessments and mast seeding research.
