ENDOMETAB investigates the composition of the endometrial microbiota in women with recurrent implantation failure, immunological recurrent pregnancy loss, and controls undergoing medically assisted reproduction.

The ENDOMETAB study aims to characterize and compare the endometrial microbiota across distinct clinical groups of women undergoing fertility treatments. Specifically, the study focuses on (i) patients with a history of recurrent implantation failure (RIF) following in vitro fertilization (IVF), (ii) patients with a history of immunological recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL-I), and (iii) patients undergoing medically assisted reproduction (MAR) whose infertility is attributable to a male factor (control group). By employing sequencing-based approaches, ENDOMETAB seeks to generate high-resolution microbial profiles that will provide insight into the potential role of the endometrial microbiota in reproductive outcomes.
