Gut viruses in individuals with morbid obesity are linked to short- and long-term excess BMI loss of Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass

This dataset contains human-filtered gut viral metagenomic sequencing data and bacterial 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing data generated from fecal samples collected before and after bariatric surgery. The dataset includes viral metagenomes for gut virome characterization and bacterial 16S rRNA gene sequencing data for bacteriome profiling in individuals undergoing Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB) or sleeve gastrectomy (SG).
