The first comprehensive survey of Brazilian Cerrado Soil Bacterial communities

The Brazilian Cerrado (a savanna-like vegetation) is the second largest biome in Brazil and is considered a biodiversity hotspot. This biome is composed by different vegetation types: Cerrado denso (trees in the range of 5 to 8 m), Cerrado sensu stricto (trees in the range of 3 to 6 m), Campo sujo (shrubs, sparse small trees and grasses) and Mata de galeria (gallery forest formation).
