The project aimed to produce an enhanced historic environment characterisation for proposed areas of mineral extraction, prior to these being considered at Public Inquiry.
This comprised a detailed desk-based historic environment assessment of all the 21 sites identified as candidates for future extraction and will provide information that will improve the understanding of the implications of mineral extraction at each location.
