Source files for the potato-peeling thesis corpus
收藏资源简介:
The source files from which the polygon corpus of the thesis Peeling Potatoes Exactly and Almost Exactly: Computing the Convex Skull of a Polygon (Zane Dmitri Pereira, The University of Melbourne, 2026) is built. There are two sources. Ten Google Fonts typefaces supply the typographic polygons from their glyph outlines: Arbutus, Audiowide, Fontdiner Swanky, Matemasie, New Rocker, Oi, Roboto Bold, Story Script, UnifrakturMaguntia and Vampiro One. The Natural Earth 1:110m Admin 0 - Countries shapefile (version 5.1.1) supplies the geographic polygons from its country outlines. The corpus itself (824 non-convex polygons) is not stored here. It is rebuilt from these files by the reproduction pipeline at https://github.com/AnotherZane/potatoes-research, which downloads them from their upstream sources and checks each against a pinned SHA-256. This record is the archival copy those hashes refer to, so the corpus stays rebuildable if the upstream files change or disappear. README.md lists each file's upstream URL, size and SHA-256, and SHA256SUMS lets the whole record be checked with sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS. Licences: the typefaces are under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, except Fontdiner Swanky, which is under the Apache License 2.0. They are redistributed unmodified with their licences, collected in font-licenses.zip. Natural Earth data is in the public domain. Made with Natural Earth.
