资源简介:
"Woodlands: Br. Balie's Zwillingstöchter. Negativ zurück an Br. P. Theile." ("Woodlands: Br[other] Balie's twin daughters. Negative [was] [given] back to Br[other] P. Theile."). The picture shows two baby girls. The girls wear white dresses. The girl to the left seems to have a lighter hair color than the girl to the right who has dark hair. The girls sit on a checkered blanket in front of a wall. Written on the card board: "1934. P. Theile."; Woodlands is an outstation of Clarkson in the west. -- The two girls are probably the daughters of Michael Zacheus Balie (1878, Genadendal - 1964 , Genadendal) who was a teacher and worked in the mission service in Wittewater from 1924 to 1933 and in Pella from 1933 to 1937. -- The negative of the photo was given back to Brother P.Theile.
