Comparisons of mean confidence, separability and variance of evidence distributions between the low and high stimulus energy conditions for the three networks (4-layer CNN, VGG-19 and ResNet-50) across the four experiments.

Stimulus energy manipulations consists of simultaneous manipulations of contrast and variability in the same direction. Comparisons using two-sided, pairwise t-tests showed that confidence as well as separability and variance of the evidence distributions increased significantly from low to high stimulus energy condition for all networks and all experiments.
