甘南草原国家站位于青藏高原生态屏障的关键区域的“甘南草原”，是黄河重要水源补给区和阻挡高原风沙东迁无可替代的绿色生态屏障，对我国黄河流域乃至全国的生态安全有着至关重要的作用。本数据集系统整理了甘南草原国家站2017-2022年连续5年土壤要素基础数据，包括草地土壤交换量，草地土壤养分、草地土壤微量元素和重金属元素等57个指标。

The Gannan Grassland National Station is situated in the "Gannan Grassland", a key region of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau ecological barrier. It serves as an important water recharge area for the Yellow River and an irreplaceable green ecological barrier that blocks the eastward migration of plateau sand and dust, playing a critical role in the ecological security of the Yellow River Basin and even the entire country. This dataset systematically compiles basic soil element data collected at the Gannan Grassland National Station over consecutive 5 years from 2017 to 2022, covering 57 indicators including grassland soil exchange capacity, grassland soil nutrients, grassland soil trace elements and heavy metal elements.
