A dataset on big five personality traits and user data on digital gaming social platforms.

This data article collects a multivariate dataset on Big Five personality traits including extraversion (EXT), agreeableness (AGR), conscientiousness (CON), neuroticism (NEG), and openness (OPE) and user digital footprint of digital gaming social platform called Steam. For data collection, we constructed a questionnaire with two parts and 64 manifest variables. We offer data on eight features of user behavior, including platform level, number of badges, number of games, number of screenshots, number of evaluations, number of groups, number of friends, and “is the user banned”. We also provided screenshots of user Steam's personal homepage to study the relationship between color features, image features, and personality. Figure 1 shows an example of screenshots of the user personal homepage.
