EDF 2021-2025 Project and Participants Dataset

The EDF 2021-2025 Project and Participants Dataset (v1.0.0) is an independent, integrated reference dataset of European Defence Fund (EDF) projects and participating organisations from annual calls 2021 through 2025. It combines two official public source families: European Commission EDF award announcements and project factsheets (announcement-stage metadata), and the Funding & Tenders Portal (grant-agreement-stage data where projects have been published). The two sources are reconciled under a documented source policy, with per-row provenance preserved through source and enrichment_tier fields so analysts can distinguish portal-backed grant records from announcement-only records. Intended uses. Cross-Member-State participation analysis, coordinator and SME participation patterns, sectoral and capability-domain analysis, and triangulation with complementary defence-industrial sources (SIPRI Arms Industry Database, EDA Capability Development Plan, Member State defence expenditure reporting). Scope notes. ASAP and EDIRPA portal records are excluded as separate EU defence-industrial instruments. Most 2025 entries are announcement-stage because their grant agreements were not yet published in the portal snapshot.
