Global recycled platinum 2010-2024, by former use

In 2024, it is expected that about 1.1 million ounces of platinum will be recycled from the automotive sector worldwide. In comparison, 41,000 ounces of platinum is expected to be recycled from the electronics industry, and 223,000 ounces of platinum is expected to be recycled from jewelry in that same year.
