Isolation of OXA-181 and OXA-232 carbapenemase-producing Escherichia coli and OXA-181 carbapenemase-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae from a pregnant woman returning from India to Japan. Escherichia coli strain:0808-167

OXA-181 and OXA-232, the variants of OXA-48 type carbapenemase have been emerging rapidly worldwide. We report a pregnant woman who resided in India then returned to Japan, and found to have carriage of Escherichia coli positive for both blaOXA-181 and blaOXA-232 as well as Klebsiella pneumoniae positive for blaOXA-181.
