The goal is to characterize the physiologic T cell antigen receptor (TCR) repertoire in the spleen of healthy layer chickens. RNA was isolated from splenic tissue and TCR alpha, beta, gamma and delta chain sequences were amplified by gene-specific 5'RACE and PCRs.
