RBD amplicon sequencing data of SARS-CoV-2 in wastewater

This data set is amplicon sequencing data targeting the RBD region of Spike gene of SARS-CoV-2. Samples were collected from March 2022 to Aug 2023 from three wastewater treatment plants serving El Paso, TX, USA. The sequencing data are used for the identification of SARS-CoV-2 variants and the calculation of the relative abundance of each variant based on the abundance of reads. The data of each variant is further analyzed to study the temporal dynamics and the differences between wastewater data and clinical data. Diversity analysis can also be performed to discover the rules of variant emergency and evolutions.
